About
For his first show in London, George (aka Goodnight Thief) will present 50 paintings and mixed media works at Brick Lane Gallery from 17 to 29 August 2021. Painted in the three years since moving from Australia, these works investigate the small emotions that preoccupy our world – life, death, spirituality, loneliness, existence, fantasy.
Goodnight Thief is the moniker for the Australian artist, George McCubbin. As a lawyer by day, George couldn’t tag the streets of Australia with his real name, and so he adopted Goodnight Thief. George is also the curator of @goodnightgallery.
