This exhibition brings together three distinct artists, each offering a unique perspective through their work. These artists craft dreamlike and thoughtful portrayals of modern life that invite audiences into their own experiences with the world. Together, these artists create a rich dialogue between subtlety and intensity, offering a captivating journey through contemporary painting.
Tina Leslie
Tina Leslie’s impressionistic, abstract and vibrant paintings of cityscapes and nature are a celebration of rhythm and the musicality of marking making. Her artworks capture the essence of urban life and the tranquility of natural landscapes, weaving together bold colours and dynamic forms that evoke a sense of movement and energy.
Tina has been a fine artist for 35 years, continuously developing her unique style across various media, including pottery, ceramic sculpture, oil painting, and mixed media.
Based in London, her work has been featured in exhibitions such as Inside Outside and Architectures of the Imagination at The Ply Gallery, group shows at the OXO Tower and Holy Art Gallery, and the annual Open Studios Weekends at Kingsgate Workshops.
Magdalena Zahuta
Magdalena Zahuta is a Polish artist whose paintings are created using oil on canvas and impasto techniques. Her artworks involve months of layering, resulting in a captivating three-dimensional effect that interacts beautifully with light.
Zahuta often draws inspiration from nature and personal experiences, carefully choosing her colour palettes to express her emotions. The thick layers of paint not only add depth but also interact with light in fascinating ways, causing colours to shift and change depending on the light’s angle.
Naïs
Naïs is a Belgian autodidact artist based in Norwich who works across multiple different mediums. Her work for our Contemporary Painting show spans from digital print on etching, watercolour and inks on paper, and acrylic on canvas. Each work tells a particular story from a moment in Naïs life, a momentary glimpse into her own world.
Her work has been showcased in private exhibitions and across various surfaces, often transforming neglected spaces and barren walls.
