Wendy’s distinctive use of mixed media challenges conventional boundaries, encouraging viewers to see beyond the surface. Her work brings a fresh perspective, offering a unique blend of spontaneity and thoughtful intention.

Jesse van den Berg

Jesse van den Berg, professionally known as varietyfreakshowartist, is an artist of Dutch origin now residing in Ireland. She has completed her Level 5 Certificate in Art at Coláiste Dhúlaigh and has also completed the first year of an Honours Bachelor’s programme at the National College of Art and Design, navigating the peak of remote education. Her artistic practice is a blend of process, iteration, and recurring motifs and subject matter, utilising a spectrum of methods that span traditional, digital, and hybrid forms.

She is captivated by a variety of techniques including enlarging, collaging, tracing, and layering, as well as tactile and implied texturing. Her work further involves blending, mark-making, and the use of sketchbook-based gestural abstraction alongside Generative AI. Jesse specialises in the dynamic interplay between human and machine, akin to a conversation, and approaches her art in multi and interdisciplinary ways.

Wasif Hyder

Wasif Hyder is a Karachi-born Pakistani artist and NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program alum.
His artistic journey is deeply rooted in the exploration of minute details and expansive forms, drawing inspiration from the meticulous style of Hiroyuki Doi, Si Scott, and Josh Gowen. Wasif’s work consists of constructing elaborate marks from simple pen strokes weaving them into a mesmerising mesh of patterns and depth, creating a dialogue between the viewer and the infinite possibilities of a single mark.

Anthony Webb

A word from the artist:
“All the people in these images were strangers. We shared or played for a few seconds or minutes. My aim as a designer was to record fashion expression. My aim as a photographer was to capture a mood. My aim as an artist was to create a feeling”
Anthony was an exceptional photographer with a deep connection to Brick Lane through his street photography series.
In 2013, Anthony conceived the concept of “East End Fashionistas,” which detailed the fashion and diverse characters of Brick Lane and London’s East End. His work was published by Thames & Hudson in 2014. Anthony had a remarkable ability to engage with people, gaining their trust, and capturing their unique styles and moods. His book also features vibrant examples of street graffiti from the area, making a bold statement about the local culture.
Anthony spent over a year immersing himself in the community, particularly focusing on the younger generation with their diverse fashion sense. His work aimed to record fashion expression, capture a mood, and create a feeling, making a significant contribution to documenting the essence of Brick Lane.

Chris Marmier

Chris Marmier is an artist based in Amsterdam who tells stories with his unique stroke and palette of colours. Using acrylic paint and ink on panels, he expresses his vision of the world – highlighting some details, playing with references, and giving it a little twist with humour and sarcasm – that can be interpreted in different ways.
In his colourful world, each painting depicts a story with different layers where the human being is at the centre. It’s a frozen moment in time where the viewers can project themselves and imagine what happened and will happen around this scene.

Big Burger

Big Burger is an illustrator and motion designer from Taiwan, who lives currently in Berlin. She has a wide range of art spectrum, from hand drawing to digital art and animation.
She is fascinated with traditional Japanese Ukiyoe master Kuniyoshi’s (1789-1861) goldfish wood print, used as motifs for this series of illustrations, mixing the old comic spirit with modern scenes.

Gustaf Elias

Gustaf’s imagery is inspired by ambient sound and music. His images resemble a stream of water—constant yet ever-changing and new. They are never settled, yet always poised and balanced, offering views that allow the mind to roam freely.
Gustaf is in a continuous search and experimentation with imagery, balancing tangible surfaces with infinite depths. His suite, still a work in progress, includes more abstract frames, as well as motifs of bathers and interpretations of ripples and waves. At times, his work frames a longing for something greater—a belief in something beyond, driven by an internal urge that clings like a memory.
